Maybe Tomorrow

“If I can just get through this week, things will be fine.”
“Once finals are over I can relax.”
“I just need to hit this deadline and then I’ll be in a better mood.”

We spend our lives pushing off our happiness. We say that we will travel the world once we establish ourselves, that we can relax once finals are over, and work ourselves to death now to retire later, but there will always be SOMETHING else after that. There will always be more deadlines, major life plot twists and new stressors that we just can’t avoid.

So stop putting your happiness off by saying, “maybe tomorrow”. Of course it's important to work hard, but not at the cost of yourself. Don’t ruin days, months, and even years of your life because you find the future more valuable than the present.

Life is fleeting...live for today.
