If Life is a Canvas

If life is a canvas, I am the toddler in the corner of the room smearing on the jarring shade of gray I made after mixing too many colors together.

At least this is how I feel, or how we all feel at one point. As I was headed to work last week, I wondered exactly at what point in life I would finally feel like I knew what I was doing. When I was younger, I thought college students were the equivalent of gods. Little did I know that they're actually just bigger humans that still enjoy coloring and napping like I did back then too. Oh, and don't forget the obsession with Mac n cheese that never died but probably should have.

My point being, no matter your age, you'll probably find a day (or week) where you'll begin to wonder what you're doing and if you're doing it right. Whether you're a skilled artist or a finger painter, keep making the art that feels right to you. Even if it doesn't turn out the way you expect, you can always sell it to the MOMA.

*sorry to MOMA fans I still love you
