There are so many things that are only socially acceptable when you’re a full time student at Uni. Let us review the most strangely magical, bizarre, and most desperate few years of your life.
- Bragging about how broke you are- Only in college is it acceptable to try to outcompete each other on who has the lowest number in their savings account.
- Not eating- “Okay, so if I don’t buy lunch today I can afford gas for the ride home”
- Drinking. Every. Night- In the U.K. people would go out every night of the week. My friends, that is called alcoholism outside of uni culture.
- Odd jobs (literally)- College is a compilation of finding the most unique ways to scrape up some cash….yet somehow we’re still poor…
- Napping anywhere- If I see you napping around campus, I’ll most likely giggle and snapchat it, and then say a prayer for whatever midterm you’re trying to sleep off. In public however...that’s weird.
- Playing Dress Up- Toga parties, Handles and Flannels, all lovely for now, but a whole lot less cute when you’re 30.
- Screaming- We scream when we see our friends after break, at parties, and just when we generally feel any emotion other than tired. However, outside of college, this might alarm others. Just a guess.
