For those of you who have read it already, welcome back! It’s good to see that we have both made it to yet another Hunger Games...I mean finals week. With the knowledge I armed you with last semester, you now know how to crush this last week or so, but let’s talk about keeping it from crushing you.
Step by step- Trying to take it on all at once would be an excellent way to induce a heart attack and there are just much better ways to die than death by finals. I mean, really.
Food- It’s so easy to stress eat or forget to completely, but trying to stick to your normal schedule will help you a lot. Also find a snack to treat yourself to! This semester my food obsession has been chips and guacamole….finals week, blog posts, and all papers are brought to you, sponsored by guac.
Tea- As much as a coffee connoisseur I have been known to be, I have had to stop due to some health complications. Obviously I had to find SOME sort of replacement, and I found tea. Glorious tea. It’s delicious (even decaf) and will not give you stomach ulcers or cause your heart to explode, which I consider a plus. It’s great to relax you before that big exam, and makes for some artsy photos.
Distractions- Counterproductive? Nope. This is finally your excuse to indulge in that movie night, going out for a drink with your friends, or better yet, read my blog. It’ll help you focus better when it’s time to crack open the books, because you got all of the giggles and social media scrolling out of your system last night.
*Disclaimer- Proceed with caution.
Are you ready? If you need emotional support, just remember that as long as guacamole exists, you will be okay. For motivation, follow my Twitter @TheDayILived because I post cute quotes and it’s good for your health. May the odds be ever in your favor!
